Xucker Hot Chocolate with xylitol (often called Xucker drinking chocolate) is a cocoa drink powder sweetened exclusively with xylitol. Two heaped teaspoons (20 g of powder per cup) provide only 1 g of countable carbs; together with the carbohydrates from 150 ml of milk, this makes approximately 6 g of carbs per cup with milk. Hot chocolate carbohydrates: around 6 g of countable carbs per cup with 150 ml of milk. The Xylitol drinking chocolate is sweetened exclusively with xylitol.

Everyday use
This creamy drinking chocolate is suitable for hot drinks, but can also be enjoyed cold when mixed with a little warm milk. For one cup, add two heaped teaspoons of cocoa powder to a cup, mix the powder with a little warm milk (or milk alternative), and top up the cup with cold or hot milk. How does Zuckerschmuck calculate countable carbohydrates (net carbs)?
For the shop information, we subtract the listed polyols from the carbohydrates. Always compare the same reference quantity, such as 100 g. This is our calculated net-carb figure and not an individual insulin-dosing recommendation.
How do I convert countable carbohydrates into KE or BE?
Use the Diabetes KE calculator from Zuckerschmuck: select an item from the range or enter the value per 100 g, specify the quantity in grams, and the countable carbohydrates will be converted into KE and BE; the calculator does not provide a dosing recommendation. One KE corresponds to 10 g of carbohydrates, and one BE to 12 g of carbohydrates.
Is the sugar-free hot chocolate a cocoa drink for people with diabetes?
“For diabetics” is no longer an official product category for food. Xucker describes the cocoa drink powder as sugar-free; it is sweetened with xylitol. The nutrition facts table lists less than 0.5 g of sugar per 100 g.

How do I calculate insulin for low carb products?
Low-carb products say "sugar-free" on the packaging, but the carbohydrates are usually very high. What does that mean and how much insulin do I need for it? The carbohydrates from polyhydric alcohols have no effect on the metabolism and do not increase blood sugar levels, so they do not need to be calculated in terms of insulin dosage. In concrete terms, this means: you check the packaging to see how many carbohydrates are stated. From that, you subtract the information "of which polyhydric alcohols". The result is the number that you need to take into account in terms of insulin dosage.

How long does it take to ship my Zuckerschmuck® order?
We make every effort to deliver your order as quickly as possible. Orders are usually sent to the post office by letter, maxi letter or parcel on the same or next day after payment has been received. Please note: Letters cannot be accepted by packing stations, so always specify a normal home address with a mailbox as the delivery address. If you pay via PayPal and credit card, the credit is usually credited to our account immediately, i.e. we ship the next day. If you pay in advance, it can take a few days, depending on the bank, for the credit to be credited to our account. If you would like to shorten the delivery time, you can send us a screenshot/transfer receipt to info@zuckerschmock.shop. The order will then be prepared for dispatch immediately.
