Can I change the tape while the sensor is in use?
Yes. Press the sensor firmly onto the skin from above and carefully peel off the tape around it while continuing to hold the sensor in place with your finger until it is completely exposed. Changing it is even easier with the TapeCover for Freestyle Libre 2, Freestyle Libre 3, and Dexcom G7.
Is the tape a Freestyle Libre patch or a medical fixation patch?
No. This tape is purely decorative, is not a medical patch, and does not replace a medical fixation patch. Please also see the note at the end of this description.
Is the tape waterproof?
Yes. It is waterproof, hypoallergenic, breathable, and elastic.

Tips for overpatches/tapes for covering
Sticking on and changing the tapes is even easier with our TapeCover protective cap: this permanently reusable plastic part is stuck between the tape and the sensor and ensures that you can easily remove the tape during operation and stick on a new tape.
Tips for border tapes with holes:
We have developed our adhesive aid TapeGuard for tapes with a hole: TapeGuard is a small, flexible plastic frame that fits exactly around your sensor and onto which the tape is stuck. Can I change the tapes while the sensor/pod is running?
You can easily remove or replace the tape at any time while the sensor/pod is in use: Press the sensor/pod firmly onto the skin from above and carefully peel the tape around the outside from the skin. While you continue to press the sensor/pod firmly onto the skin with one finger, first pull part of the tape away from the sensor/pod until a sufficiently large area of the sensor/pod without any tape is visible. Press this area of the sensor/pod without any tape with your finger and peel off the rest of the tape.
