The circumference at the point where your sensor sits is what matters; shorten it gradually, because a shortened band cannot be made longer again. Can a band that fits too tightly distort the sensor readings?
Abbott advises touching or pressing the Freestyle Libre sensor as little as possible. Therefore, do not wear the band any tighter than necessary; it stays in place on its own, without clips or seams. We have no information from Abbott about the effect of a tight band on the readings.
