The Dexcom G7 Tape Cover helps you precisely apply our tapes over your sensor and easily change the tape during the sensor’s wear time. The sensor cover is permanently reusable and is especially suitable for difficult areas of the body where you want to apply the tape without assistance. When applying it, the Dexcom G7 Cover sits between the sensor and the tape: You place it on the adhesive side of the tape and stretch both over the sensor.

Everyday use
Peel off the backing paper from the tape and place the Tape Cover in the center of the adhesive side so that it sticks firmly in place. Then stretch the cover over your sensor on your arm and smooth the tape onto your skin. This lets you apply the tape precisely to difficult areas of the body without assistance, for example when exercising, swimming, or playing.

Which tapes are right for me?

Can I change the tape during the sensor’s wear time?
Yes. Press the sensor firmly onto your skin from above and carefully loosen the tape around the outside. Then pull part of the tape away from the sensor until an uncovered area becomes visible, hold the sensor firmly there, and remove the rest of the tape.
Is the tape a Dexcom G7 adhesive patch?
No, it is not a medical adhesive patch. The tape is applied over the sensor and gives it a design.

Tips for overpatches/tapes for covering
Sticking on and changing the tapes is even easier with our TapeCover protective cap: this permanently reusable plastic part is stuck between the tape and the sensor and ensures that you can easily remove the tape during operation and stick on a new tape.
Tips for border tapes with holes
We have developed our adhesive aid TapeGuard for tapes with a hole: TapeGuard is a small, flexible plastic frame that fits exactly around your sensor and onto which the tape is stuck. Tape and TapeGuard can then be easily stuck on even in difficult areas of the body without any outside help. Can I change the tapes while the sensor/pod is running?
You can easily remove or replace the tape at any time while the sensor/pod is in use: Press the sensor/pod firmly onto the skin from above and carefully peel the tape around the outside from the skin. While you continue to press the sensor/pod firmly onto the skin with one finger, first pull part of the tape away from the sensor/pod until a sufficiently large area of the sensor/pod without any tape is visible. Press this area of the sensor/pod without any tape with your finger and peel off the rest of the tape.
